Yolande Jansen is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam and at the Free University of Amsterdam. She is the author of Secularism, Assimilation and the Crisis of Multiculturalism; French Modernist Legacies (2013, Amsterdam University Press), and co-edited The Irregularisation of Migration in Contemporary Europe: Detention, Deportation, Drowning (2015, Rowman and Littlefield).
