Arianna Poletti is an Italian freelance journalist and PhD candidate. After working for the French weekly magazine Jeune Afrique, she was based in Tunisia as a freelance correspondent from 2019 to 2025. Her reporting focuses on socio-ecological issues across the Mediterranean, with a particular emphasis on North Africa. Her investigative work has been supported by Journalismfund Europe and the Earth Journalism Network. She is the author of Les ravages de nos engrais (Éditions Payot), a long-form investigation into the ecological and social impacts of fertilizer production in the Mediterranean.
