Barry Lynn is the Executive Director of the Open Markets Institute, in Washington. Over the last two decades, Lynn pioneered understanding of how today’s monopolies threaten our democracy, individual liberties, prosperity, and security. Lynn’s efforts to update antimonopoly law and thinking for the digital era have been fully embraced by the Biden Administration and policymakers around the world. Lynn’s warnings on structural flaws in international industrial systems predicted today’s supply chain crises and the breakdown of globalization. Lynn has also pioneered analysis of the dangers posed by AI and disinformation, and how best to protect freedom of speech and of the press.
