Cas Mudde is a Dutch professor of political science at the University of Georgia. His research focuses on a central question: how can liberal democracies defend themselves against political challengers without compromising their core values? Alongside his academic work, he contributes to public debate through columns for Aftonbladet and op-eds in publications including The Guardian and VoxEurop.
His current research explores three key areas: the role of football as a form of civil society, the evolution of the contemporary far right and strategies for strengthening liberal democracy, and the transformation of European politics through the interaction of political parties and broader social change.
