Emilia Palonen is a Senior Lecturer in Political Science at the Univeristy of Helsinki. Her work focuses on populism, particularly in Hungary and Finland. She currently leads the research project ‘Whirl of Knowledge: Polarisation and Cultural Populism in Europe’ (WhiKnow) and engages in a research consortium on Mainstreaming Populism, both funded by the Academy of Finland.
