Karen Celis

Karen Celis is research professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and co-director of RHEA Centre of Expertise Gender, Diversity, Intersectionality. She is also the university’s academic advisor on equality policy. Her research focuses on the democratic quality of political representation from an intersectional perspective. Her most recent book is Feminist Democratic Representation, co-authored by Sarah Childs and published in 2020 by Oxford University Press.
