Luca Manes is an Italian journalist. He worked for the Campaign to Reform the World Bank from 2000 to 2012. Since 2012, he has been the communications officer for the Italian organisation Re:Common. For both organisations, he has authored numerous publications and covered many international summits (G20, G8 and WTO Ministerial Conferences). He has contributed to various publications, including L’Espresso, Il Manifesto, Pagina99, Domani, Liberazione, Altreconomia, Left, Solidarietà Internazionale, Nigrizia, Valori, La Stampa.it, Unimondo.org, Comune.info and GreenReport.it. He is co-author of the book La Banca dei Ricchi (Altreconomia, 2008) and wrote the script for the graphic novels Soldi Sporchi (Round Robin, 2015) and “L’Alleato Azero” (Round Robin, 2016). He contributed to the production of the video “The Nuclear Party” (2014) and is co-author of the video “La Montagna Sventrata” (2018). He received a special mention in the 2004 Press Officer of the Year Award for his work during the 2003 WTO Ministerial Conference in Cancún.
