Mareike Moraal is the Energy & Environment Program Director at the Heinrich Boell Foundation North America. Before joining the Foundation, Mareike conducted research on European climate policy, carbon pricing, and environmental justice at the University of Groningen, and worked as a lecturer at Maastricht University (the Netherlands). She holds a LLM in Energy and Climate Law from the University of Groningen. She also studied at the Universities of Maastricht, Freiburg, and George Washington University.
