Patrizia Heidegger has been working as an advocate for global justice and a healthy planet for 15 years, mainly with NGOs in Europe and Asia. As the EEB’s Director of Global Policies and Sustainability, she closely follows the implementation of the SDGs in and by the EU, and leads the EEB work for environmental justice and against environmental racism. Feminism is “the radical notion that women are people” (Marie Shear) drives her until all women enjoy their full rights and opportunities. She is working on her understanding of white, middle-class privilege.
