Matěj is a climate reporter for Denik Referendum. He studies political theory and social history at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. As part of his studies, he focuses on the environmental history of the Giant Mountains and the Jizera Mountains. As one of the members of the University for Climate collective, he helped organize student strikes at colleges and universities in November 2022.
