María Marta Travieso

As a Specialist in the International Labour Organization’s Future of Work Unit, María Marta Travieso works to provide technical support to the High level Global Commission on the Future of Work. María Marta has more than 15 years of professional experience in the ILO. She has specialized in International Labour Standards related to freedom of association and collective bargaining, equality and gender equality, workers with family responsibilities and indigenous peoples. She has provided advice and support to ILO constituents (Governments, employers’ and workers’ organizations). She is also the author of publications on governance, the international system, and the ILO, the history and procedure of the Committee on Freedom of Association and diversity and reasonable accommodation. Maria Marta holds a Masters degree from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, Switzerland.
