Sven Biscop

Sven Biscop is a political scientist and one of Belgium’s leading thinkers on geopolitics. He directs the “Europe in the World” programme at the Egmont – Royal Institute of International Relations in Brussels. At Ghent University, he is professor of strategy and foreign policy of Belgium and the European Union. His most recent book is Grand Strategy in 10 words – A Guide to Great Power Politics in the 21st Century (2021). Biscop lives in Brussels with his husband Aberu, amid lots of books, military paraphernalia and chinoiseries.
