Armin Langer is a German-Hungarian sociologist and rabbi currently based in Gainesville, Florida, where he is DAAD Assistant Professor in European Studies at the University of Florida. Prior to this position, he held appointments at Brandeis University and the University of Virginia. Beyond academia, Armin has taught in Jewish communities in Pennsylvania, Texas, Mexico, Sweden, Germany, Austria, and Hungary. He earned a Ph.D. in sociology in Berlin and rabbinical ordination from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia. Personal website: arminlanger.net.
