Dr. Kathalijne Buitenweg is a Member of Parliament for the Dutch Green Party (GroenLinks), where she works particularly on justice and home affairs. Previously she was a Commissioner of the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights. Between 1999 and 2009, she was a Member of the European Parliament. From 2019 to 2020, she was the chair of the temporary parliamentary committee on the Digital Future.
