Hilary Wainwright

Hilary Wainwright is co-editor of Red Pepper, a popular British new left magazine. In 1982, she worked as Assistant Chief Economic Advisor to the Greater London Council (just before it was abolished by Mrs Thatcher) when she founded the Popular Planning Unit as part of the Industry and Employment Branch of the Council. She is also Senior Research Associate at the International Centre for Participation Studies at the Department for Peace Studies, University of Bradford, UK.
